This is an exciting opportunity for a select number of youth to participate in the newly formed Youth Advisory Council which is being set up to advise the Syracuse Common Council regarding local legislation and its impact on young people.
The Mission of the Youth Advisory Council is to engage selected youth in the business of Government. Participating youth will have an opportunity to meet firsthand with lawmakers in City, County, Syracuse School Board, State Government, and Federal Government; review legislative proposals and advise lawmakers about issues important to Syracuse youth.

The Everson Teen Arts Council is a partnership between the Everson and teens from Onondaga County, offering a safe platform for teens to share their voice, work with their peers and engage with the greater community. The Teen Council provides teens with dynamic leadership opportunities to create meaningful and relevant programs and exhibitions, while giving teens space to explore identity, build skills and prepare for college, career and civic life.
